Moving to Pennsylvania

Collect identity documents, lease or closing records, proof of insurance, and acceptable proofs of residency before visiting a Driver License Center.

PennDOT says new residents with an out-of-state non-commercial license must obtain a Pennsylvania license within 60 days of establishing residency. Review the official requirements before going in person.

PennDOT’s current service page says a Pennsylvania title and registration application is required within 20 days of moving. A valid Pennsylvania identification and proof of Pennsylvania insurance are part of the sequence.
